Nuance Caller Authentication 1.0 is a packaged speech application that authenticates callers over the phone, securing self-service transactions of all types. Nuance Caller Authentication acts as a secure “front door” to call center systems, verifying the identity of callers within a variety of scenarios: customer care (address change, order status), transactions (bill pay applications, claims processing), and productivity (field service, sales force automation).

Powered by Nuance's voice authentication engine, Nuance Verifier, Caller Authentication uses voiceprints - a measurable physical characteristic used to verify a person's identity - to secure access to specific information. Before transactions are authorized, users' spoken voiceprints are compared to those previously enrolled. Only when an exact match is achieved can the transaction be performed.

Nuance Caller Authentication includes a pre-built voice user interface, standard system configurations, and integrated reporting capabilities that provide access to valuable business and security-related/anti-fraud intelligence. Nuance Caller Authentication uses industry standards such as J2EE and VoiceXML 2.0, the industry standard programming language for voice applications.
