Letters To The Editor
August 2001

The following letter refers to Tom Keating's CC: column, "Telephony Boards: Just How Open is 'Open?'" in our May issue.

Hi Tom,

I think the telephony board manufacturers may be leading themselves down the same track as the producers of the old vinyl record. If they are not careful a newer more efficient method will burst onto the scene, and a major shift in the industry will see many players unable or unwilling to change or just completely caught off balance. There are many examples of this happening not just in one industry but in most.

Kind regards,
Tui Davies

The following letter refers to the May 2001 Interactive Commerce section:

To the editor:

Thanks for a great piece on workforce management solutions. In today's economy where the need for customer service is at an all-time high, I think that workforce management tools are becoming an increasingly important part of a CRM strategy. I realize that they might not be the sexiest solutions to write about, but I'm glad that you recognize how vital they are. Thanks for your continued and astute coverage of this industry.

Sincerely,
William Lowe

The following letter refers to Tom Keating's CC: column, "Help! Universal Translator Required" in our July issue:

Tom:

Good afternoon, I wanted to personally thank you for including Tech24, Inc. in your July story, "Help! Universal Translator Required"

I must admit, I was a little bummed when I read through it and could not find us, but then I found it under PCSupport. So thank you again, and below is some more info that I would like to point out to you. http://www.tech24inc.com/partner.html is our co-branding page, that we do with site and intranets -- the set up is free and some examples are located at www.winoscentral.com, www.fortunecity.com, www.techsupportguy.com, and more to come.

We also have our B2B section. You can find that at http://www.tech24.com/b2bsupport.html

Thank you,
Kirkland Desmond

The following letter refers to Tom Keating's CC: column, "Get Thin (Computing) Now!" in our June issue:

Hi Tom:

Just read your column on thin computing -- great piece. This is a hot topic in our customer base, and you may have noticed that we recently introduced support for thin client computing environments for our customers needing to capture the desktop screen activity of agents using these operating systems. Let us know if you'd like to speak to some of our customers, such as Minacs (one of Canada's largest outsourcing companies), that are deploying thin client now.
