JAJAH Buttons is now available from JAJAH, positioning click-to-call as the optimal communication tool. Users are able to create a slim and stylish JAJAH Button to place on their websites, e-mail signatures, blogs and social network profiles. JAJAH Buttons enables calls at no cost to the caller and with no download, headset or contract requirements.
"In the past, all communication between users in online communities has been limited to the written word. Today we are adding a new voice dimension to Web 2.0 on a global scale," said Roman Scharf, JAJAH co-founder, in a Monday statement.
"We are adding voice to wherever you share your thoughts, pictures and videos online. In addition, voice can now be included in your email signature, your online marketplace and homepage."
JAJAH Buttons is created to be simple, extensive in functionality and offering complete privacy control. It also fits well into numerous popular platforms such as MySpace, LinkedIn and YouTube (

"JAJAH is a communications company that balances a carrier-friendly approach to telephony with delivering low-cost global telephony services to consumers and businesses," said Rebecca Swensen, IDC (

services analyst, in Monday’s statement.
"The release of JAJAH Buttons offers an opportunity for users to share free and low-cost calls with friends and family by providing the ability to easily embed JAJAH Buttons in such things as email."
JAJAH users can create and customize their JAJAH Button in a variety of ways. The owner has the ability to keep phone numbers hidden, set the time and day they are available for calls as well as the countries of the calls they wish to receive.
JAJAH Buttons implements the voice element to social networks -- in a true, seamless Voice 2.0 way. "Online relationships will grow beyond messaging, back to people simply talking to each other again, without restrictions," said Daniel Mattes, JAJAH co-founder, in Monday’s statement.
The owner need simply to log on to his or her JAJAH account and follow the Button Creation Wizard process to customize a JAJAH Button. The owner then pastes a snippet of HTML

code or a URL onto his or her website, blog or e-mail signature and then wait for friends or family to call. The Button owner is charged for the call at the current JAJAH rates.
The caller need only to enter the phone number and press “Call” to connect the call at no cost. JAJAH Buttons could be the next alternative to a toll-free number. Compared to commercial toll-free numbers, this new global toll-free numbers, this new global toll-free service can ultimately save users up to 95 percent of traditional costs.
"With JAJAH Buttons, we aim to flatten and simplify the world of global telephony, and as a result, embrace a much larger population. It's an innovation we've been developing for some time, and I can hardly wait to share what will be next," said Trevor Healy, JAJAH's CEO, in Monday’s statement.
"What I like best about Buttons is that as long as my mom can open an email, she can call me using JAJAH -- now that's cool!"
JAJAH is certainly offering a great alternative to traditional toll-free numbers and even basic calling. Many will likely be drawn to the ability to call a friend or loved-one at no cost, but is this solution better suited to the business world?
There are certainly identifiable uses in spaces such as MySpace where an owner may want the ability to communicate without displaying a phone number. For calling someone I generally call anyway, I call their cell phone as I know the call is free for us both.
JAJAH Buttons will certainly provide a service for those in the virtual world. The challenge, however is that click-to-call has not always been a success. It may take some creative marketing on their part to ensure swift adoption.
