Gordano Ltd announced the new release of its Gordano Messaging Suite (GMS (News - Alert)) which is a multi-platform messaging system. It is an easy-to-use and also a scalable alternative to Microsoft Exchange that can run on Windows, Linux, Solaris and AIX. It features new AJAX driven WebMail and groupware interfaces. 

 
Gordano has been developing innovative messaging software. The original software has been enhanced, extended and improved timely. Now, their software additionally provides with rich -client WebMail interface (including shared Calendars and Tasks), seamlessly integrated with anti-Virus and comprehensive Anti-Spam, all running on a range of platforms.
 
Newly released GMS features GMS WebMail. GMS, which is a flexible WebMail client, offers interfaces which are similar to that of high-end desktop client. It also incorporates Shared calendars, folders, tasks and notes, which are interoperability with Outlook, providing with a wide range of access options to suit all tastes.
 
GMS WebMail uses AJAX driven interfaces and does not require third part software to be installed. This enables high levels of performance and scalability with stable interface. The interface also has many usability features such as "Quick Add" in the calendar, support for dynamic resizing and moving of calendar events with drag and drop supported throughout. The GUI of the software is designed to look and function similar to a desktop client, but it is entirely web browser - based.
  
Other important features of GMS WebMail are fully customizable\brand able using CSS (News - Alert) based themes, highly extensible using Gizmos, a JavaScript mash up framework and control panel to allow quick context switching.

The interface is easier to read, browser support is excellent, and it is many times faster - an all around must have."
 
GMS other areas are also added with new features. An administrator can temporarily switch context to take on the personality of another user in order to make changes on behalf of that user, without the knowledge of user's login credentials.
 
GMS Collaboration Server has also been enhanced to allow administrators to automatically distribute client updates from the server to provide a simple and easy upgrade process for desktop PCs and thereby providing minimal interruption to the employees.
 
Introduction of AJAX driven WebMail interface has extended GMS's lead in the industry of cutting edge messaging technology.
