Aug 04, 2009 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- WatchGuard Technologies, a global leader in extensible network security and connectivity solutions, today announced that it is acquiring privately-held BorderWare Technologies of Toronto, Canada. BorderWare Technologies is a leading e-mail and Web security content and threat management platform provider for mid-sized enterprises, government and service providers.

Terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed. BorderWare was founded in 1994 and has 90 employees.
