Hypercom Wins SESAME Award for Its HyperSafe® Remote Key System
PARIS --(Business Wire)-- CARTES & IDentification 2009 -- High security electronic transaction solutions provider Hypercom Corporation (NYSE: HYC) today announced it has been awarded the prestigious Sesame Award at Cartes 2009 for its HyperSafe Remote Key System (HRKS).

Hypercom HRKS: Winner of SESAME AWARD for Banking/Financial/Retail Hypercom's Remote Key System is the industry's first standards-based remote key injection product that allows retailers to quickly and securely initiate on-site, in-store payment terminal key injection at the point-of-sale. The system offers a fast and highly secure alternative to the industry's traditional secure room key injection process.
HRKS eliminates the need for off-site secure room key injection by incorporating PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) to securely distribute symmetric 3DES keys. HRKS meets ANSI x9.24 and Visa PIN Security Guidelines for remote key management, and is FIPS 140-2 Level 3 and X509 compliant.
