Allot Communications Ltd., a provider of intelligent IP service optimization and bandwidth management solutions based on deep packet inspection, or “DPI,” reportedly announced that has unveiled new traffic management devices, NetEnforcer AC-1400 and NetEnforcer AC-3000.
The company’s new product lines not only brings advanced network optimization to tier-2/3 service providers and high end enterprises, but also provides advanced network and subscriber services such as content filtering, DDoS mitigation and subscriber awareness.
Nowadays, there is a continuous rise in data traffic, particularly in time-sensitive applications like video. As a result, optimized network efficiency plays a key role. Allot’s (News - Alert) new offerings, NetEnforcer AC-1400 and NetEnforcer AC-3000, are designed to provide service providers with optimized network efficiency by maximizing ROI on existing infrastructure, improving policy enforcement and also enhancing user experience, said officials.
Designed to manage Internet traffic on multiple Ethernet links at speeds of up to 2 Gbps, Allot’s new NetEnforcer AC-1400 offers real-time monitoring, QoS policy enforcement for up to 4 million concurrent IP flows and traffic steering. The device features 8 x 1GE ports for network connectivity and 4 x 1GE ports for connectivity to external service systems.
Powered by Allot’s Dynamic Actionable Recognition Technology, NetEnforcer AC-1400 helps enterprise networks with cost-effective management of P2P, VoIP, streaming, gaming, and other Internet traffic. Additionally, the device also features scalable throughput ranging from 45Mbps to 1Gbps full duplex and integrates with company’s SMP for subscriber-application control as well as ServiceProtector for attack detection and mitigation, Allot said.
Designed to manage broadband Internet traffic on multiple Ethernet links at speeds of up to 6 Gbps, Allot NetEnforcer AC-3000 also offers real-time monitoring, QoS policy enforcement for up to 4 million concurrent IP flows and traffic steering. The device has all similar features as that of AC-1400, except that it features scalable throughput ranging from: 1, 2, 3Gbps full duplex.
Also powered by Allot’s Dynamic Actionable Recognition Technology, NetEnforcer AC-3000 helps ISPs and large enterprises with cost-effective management of P2P, VoIP, streaming, gaming, and other Internet traffic on their high-speed Ethernet links.
Additionally, both the new devices, NetEnforcer AC-1400 and NetEnforcer AC-3000, feature proactive alarms, fail-safe performance, and centralized Allot NetXplorer management.
Dynamic Actionable Recognition Technology offers three layers of traffic awareness, namely application, subscriber and topology, along with the ability to act upon this information by mapping these layers directly into dynamic policy enforcement rules.
DART features an extensive signature library that accurately identifies hundreds of Internet applications and protocols, such as P2P, VoIP, video, streaming, gaming, instant messaging, web and business applications, said officials with Allot.
'Consistent with the Allot NetEnforcer range, these new product lines enable easy upgrade to higher speeds without the need to replace the unit,' Andrei Elefant, vice president of marketing and product management at Allot Communications, said. 'The demand for more intelligent and sophisticated management tools is a result of the changes in the way broadband networks and data services are used. These next generation devices are designed to meet these evolving demands.'
