DirectEmployers Association Enters into Partnership with TweetMyJOBS

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

DirectEmployers Association, a nonprofit consortium of leading U.S. corporations such as GE, Apple (News - Alert), and Xerox, has entered into a partnership with TweetMyJOBS, one of the largest Twitter job board in the world, to offer SMART Tweet for free to its nearly 500 member companies.

SMART (Social Media Applicant Recruitment Tool) Tweet is the most cost effective and powerful way to leverage social media and Twitter for recruiting purposes.

"The goal is to constantly provide our members with the best avenues to increase labor market efficiency and reduce recruiting costs," said Chad Sowash vice president of business development with DirectEmployers Association, said in a press release.

Sowash said that social media has exploded onto the scene, although leveraging this new and interactive medium for recruitment has seemed quite nebulous for many companies.

That's why, he said DirectEmployers was very eager to partner with TweetMyJOBS, who has established themselves as leaders in this area, to help the member companies better analyze the advantages of social media recruitment.

DirectEmployers officials said that effective immediately, all DirectEmployers members will have their jobs posted on TweetMyJOBS for free. This will begin a DirectEmployers' SMART Tweet pilot , which will help member organizations better understand social media's recruiting value.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with such a prominent and well respected organization such as DirectEmployers" said Gary Zukowski, founder and president of TweetMyJOBS.

Zukowski said that his company is confident that it will be able to add tremendous value to DirectEmployers' members as well as the millions of job seekers across America and the world looking for work.

Back in May TweetMyJOBS had announced a new service to help companies with social media recruiting.

The feature is called TweetMark and enables companies to provide their logo and other relevant branding information on a custom Twitter Job Channel.
