CustomCall Data Systems Acquires Software Code from Network Services Group

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

CustomCall Data Systems, a major player in billing and OSS solutions to the communications industry, reportedly has acquired an unlimited license and source code for Service Automation Master (SAM) and Switch/billing audit software from Network Services Group LLC (NSG).

CustomCall (News - Alert) officials said in a release that the acquired code includes capabilities to automate the provisioning of telecom service orders onto a number of switch platforms, with options to acquire additional platforms as the need arises.

The agreement also includes ongoing development and implementation support from NSG.

Officials said that as per the pact CustomCall and NSG will be integrating SAM software into CustomCall’s billing and OSS system, providing for seamless order flow, a single user graphical interface and shared data structures, thus making SAM an integral part of the CustomCall family of products.

Service providers who take advantage of the integrated offering will also have the option to perform audits of switch-based data against billing system data, thus improving provisioning accuracy and revenue assurance.

“The addition of SAM software into CustomCall’s product portfolio will expand the number of automated service activation tasks that can be accomplished seamlessly within our application,” said Frank Peregrine (News - Alert), co-founder and CEO of CustomCall, in a statement.

CustomCall Data Systems, Inc., founded in 1993, provides billing, OSS and business process management solutions for telecommunications service providers.

Peter Broikou, president and CEO of Network Services Group, said that the combination of CustomCall and NSG capabilities will offer service providers a powerful and comprehensive set of tools to manage and automate order flow, reduce service activation intervals and improve the customer acquisition experience.

Network Services Group, based in Webster, N.Y., provides software solutions for telecom network management. NSG has a suite of software and hardware tools to assist companies in managing, monitoring and protecting network integrity.
