The Bedford, Pa. School District has reportedly adopted Teo’s E911 Emergency Awareness Solution to ensure access to real-time information and communication to protect its students and faculty.

 

Teo officials said that the company’s solution has helped the school district, which operates five buildings housing two high schools, a middle school and elementary schools, implement a cutting-edge protocol and alert system for its approximately 2,500 students and staff. This system now enables real-time communications through screen pop ups and text messages on cell phones.

 

"Emergency safety is a top priority for us. Since implementing the E911 solution earlier this year, we've been very pleased with Teo's technology," said Glenn Burket, technology coordinator at Bedford School District, in a statement.

 

Burket said that the solution has already helped provide real-time notification at sporting events. This helps the school district properly notify, communicate and protect the students and staff-all at an affordable price.

 

The Bedford School District purchased Teo's system from FiberCom, a Woodbury, Pa.-based communications firm.

Zimmerman said that in a competitive environment, Teo's solution is a cut above the rest in quality and price.

 

Officials claimed that Teo offers the industry's most effective and affordable E911 emergency notification systems. Features include 911 call recording, 911 call monitoring, secure automatic number identification management, multiple group partitions for a variety of functions and much more.
