FACSys Fax Messaging Suite from emFAST Now Avaya Compliant

By Divya Narain, TMCnet Contributor

FACSys publisher emFAST Inc. has announced that its FACSys fax messaging suite of products is now compliant with IP Office Release 5 from Avaya (News - Alert).

The FACSys fax messaging suite encompasses the FACSys EZ appliance and FACSys Foundation and FACSys Enterprise software packages. These solutions allow users to send and receive faxes through a desktop client, browser, e-mail interface, MFP device or a fax-enabled application.

Supplanting the legacy fax machines, the FACSys family of products trims operating costs by making use of the telecommunications infrastructure for voice and fax. The FACSys fax messaging suite of products is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya IP Office version 5.

"Business customers value Avaya compliance when looking for solutions that integrate with their telephony environment," says Peter Valier, FACSys Product Manager, emFAST (News - Alert) Inc., in a release. "Avaya's adoption of the T.38 FoIP protocol has allowed customers to leverage their investment in their communications infrastructure to deploy fax as well as voice - more quickly, more easily and more cost-effectively than ever before."

emFAST Inc. is a Gold member of the Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert) program. The program is directed towards the development and marketing of third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology.  Being a Gold partner, emFAST is entitled to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J.

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like emFAST Inc., Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman (News - Alert), vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. "They are able to use unified communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available -- getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line."

An undisputed leader in enterprise communications systems, Avaya has proven track record in providing unified communications, contact centers, and related services to organizations across the globe. Over a million enterprises globally, including most of the FORTUNE 500 have deployed Avaya’s intelligent communications solutions for IP telephony, unified communications, contact centers and communications-enabled business processes.

TMCnet recently reported that FaxCore (News - Alert) 2007 fax application and associated product bundles from FaxCore are now compliant with Avaya Communication Manager and SIP Enablement Services using SIP trunking interface.
