Primary Wave Media, an offline cable television lead generation company, reportedly announced its foray into the wireless telecommunications segment with the introduction of its latest 1-800-WIRELESS phone number and Web site.
The addition builds on Primary Wave Media’s ownership of 1-800-CABLETV in the cable television space.
According to Gregg Hamerschlag, president and CEO of Primary Wave Media, there is significant growth potential within the wireless telecommunication market
“The future of our world is wireless, with millions of consumers dependent on their laptops, cell phones, smart phones, and MP3 players for business and pleasure,” Hamerschlag said in a statement. “Consumers can now get great buys on everything wireless from most major carriers with one call. No more calling different carriers and trying to find the best deals. The 1-800-WIRELESS operators can offer consumers the best prices and plans that fit their needs.”
In addition, the company has kick-started a many-sided and catchy branded marketing campaign, which has been themed along the lines of the ‘Class of 2009’ rock tour. This marketing campaign will help 1-800-WIRELESS get directly in touch with adults in the age bracket of 18-24. It has been predicted that this segment will be the first to jump onto the wireless bandwagon and they are also the fastest growing segment of the wireless community currently.
The multi-city tour will reach 40 cities and will feature rock artists who scored big radio hits that were amongst the Top Ten. The event will be headlined by indie favorite Saving Abel. The company plans to bring on an unsigned band every year to open the show for the entire tour. This will give the band a launch pad and set it up to become a headliner in the future.
This year, the company brought in Taddy Porter as the unsigned band. Taddy Porter will accompany other rock bands like Saving Abel, Red and Pop Evil on the tour. The company has formulated the rock tour in order to be able to establish a connect with their fans in an innovative manner. With 1-800-WIRELESS sponsoring the event, the company can reach out to loyalists in as cost-effective a manner as possible, company officials said.
This year’s rock tour will extend through the rest of the year. The company has already started drawing up plans for the next ‘Class of 2010’ tour.
