WinBill Version 8.1 Offers New Telecom Expense Management Features
By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor
TeleManagement Technologies (News - Alert), a provider of Telecom Expense Management (TEM) solutions, recently announced the release of version 8.1 of its WinBill application.
Several new features have been incorporated into the application, including unlimited expense categories for monitoring all IT related expenses, extended wireless management and reporting capabilities, and a new dashboard graph reporting functionality, among others.
According to a company press release, WinBill 8.1 will be the first TEM application to deliver unlimited expense category tracking. This helps analysts and decision makers to get a comprehensive view into the monthly expenditure of all telecommunications bills and invoices.
Users have the liberty of determining 5, 20 or an unlimited number of expense categories. The application will give a never seen before level of granularity and flexibility which is essential to better managing telecom expenditure in today’s climate.
Currently, most companies have telecom expenses as a result of wireless, wireline and data usage. WinBill helps users to quickly monitor expense categories like usage, access charges, text messages and equipment, among others. WinBill users can improve their overall productivity and better manage their expenses and contract compliance. This in turn will positively impact the bottom line. TTI Clients are able to achieve cost reduction of an average 20 to 35 percent within the first year of use.
Globally, wireless service expenses are expected to grow at an annual rate of 15 percent. Corporations need to have in place tools which are capable of managing constant changes in the industry. WinBill’s wireless management tool determined billing discrepancies, cost reducing opportunities and billing inconsistencies within a few seconds using its new improved wireless inventory and management reports. It also identifies when users modify features, go above preset limits and detect unauthorized charges or increase in expenditures within a matter of seconds.
WinBill also boasts of some useful reporting features. Its latest set of dashboard graph reports will help senior management to review the top spends for their internal GL coding, vendors and service types to gain a quick understanding of the nature of IT expenses. Its robust reporting filer and list field options help companies look for any Expense Category or Data Field -- and it incorporates almost 65 inventory points in a single report.
Post the new enhancements, WinBill will continue to be one of the most dependable and comprehensive telecom and IT expense management solution available currently. The application is committed to providing a heightened level of service, an active user group, and continuously brings about product improvements.
